January in the Ocean, Kentucky in the Wind

Welp, guys… my weekend was so exciting that I skipped both Saturday and Sunday—ha! It was fun while it lasted. I honestly knew I’d never make it 365 days in a row, but oh well… no regrets here.

We had a great weekend. January 10th was spent in the ocean. Yes. The ocean. In January. Can y’all believe that? It was almost 90 degrees, and there we were, swimming like it was the middle of summer. Florida stays keeping us on our toes. We had a blast and even found lots of shark teeth, which made the day even better.

And just to keep things interesting, even though it was almost 90 degrees by the end of the week, our nighttime wind chills are dropping into the 30s. Make it make sense. It’s almost like Kentucky followed us straight to Florida, just to remind us where we came from.

Sunday was much slower—and honestly, exactly what a Sunday should be. Lazy, quiet, and full of doing a whole lot of nothing.

Now it’s back to another week of school, unpacking boxes, and spending way too much time driving the boys to and from school every single day. Living the dream, right?
