Surprise! We’re in Kentucky! ๐ŸŽ‰

We hit the road last night, drove through the night, and rolled into Bardstown around 8:00 this morning. It was a long drive, but we’re here!

We’re in town for Harmony’s 3rd birthday party this weekend, and Michael also has a few things he needs to take care of at the office. Since we’re already here, we decided to stay for a few daysโ€”and I’m definitely not complaining.

I’m especially excited to get out with my camera! I have several photography assignments due for my MFA program, and now I get to capture Kentucky instead of Florida for a change. As much as I’ve been enjoying photographing Florida, there’s just something about Kentucky that always feels like home through my lens.

But do you know what I’m really excited about?

GOOD Mexican food! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐ŸŒฎ

El Jimador…I’m looking at you.

Okay, maybe not at 10:00 in the morning (although don’t tempt me ๐Ÿ˜†), but very, very soon.

Until then, the boys and I are going to take it easy, recover from the drive, and I’m going to spend some time catching up on homework before the weekend festivities begin.

I’m looking forward to spending time with family, celebrating Harmony’s birthday, eating way too much Mexican food, and hopefully coming home with a memory card full of Kentucky photos.

Let’s see what adventures the next few days bring!
