OH. MY. WORD. 🤯🎡📸

Guess what?!?! I got that email today—the one I’ve been refreshing my inbox for like a crazy person for the last few weeks. And y’all… I was accepted to photograph the Florida State Fair for the Spirit of the Fair contest!

The fair runs February 5th–16th, and here’s how it works: I get one free day of admission to roam the fair with my camera, soaking it all in, and I’ll be shooting for 10 different categories. I get to submit 10 photos total—one for each category—for a chance to win cash prizes and possibly the big one… the overall Spirit of the Fair award. 😳✨

I am SO excited I could burst. Like, jittery, happy-dance-in-the-kitchen excited.

Now, full honesty moment—yes, I was chosen because I was one of the first 100 people to enter. But listen… that still means I’ve got a 1 in 100 chance, right?! Those odds don’t scare me one bit. And even if I don’t win a single thing? I still get to spend ALL day taking photos at the fair, doing exactly what I love. That alone feels like a win.

Here’s the part that made me pause for a second though—submissions are due February 17th. Yeah… the one-year anniversary of when my Nannie passed. 🕊️💔
So Nannie, if you’re listening, I’m gonna need you to sprinkle some extra good juju, fair magic, and camera luck my way. I know you’ll be right there with me, probably telling me to “take another one, just in case.” 🤍

Anyway, I just HAD to share my awesome news with y’all. I’m still smiling typing this. So be on the lookout… fair photos are coming 🎠📷✨

And thank you, always, for cheering me on. It means more than you know. 💛
