If you can even be happy about a Monday⦠and that part is still questionable.
But Iāve actually been productive today, and Iām calling that a win. Iāve emptied several boxes, cooked breakfast andlunchāyes, cookedāand weāre having sloppy joes for dinner tonight. On a Monday. That alone feels like an accomplishment.
It really feels like progress is being made, and weāre only about a week into the new place. Fewer boxes, more real life happening. That in-between stage where things start to feel less like a move and more like home is my favorite.
We also hit a little parenting milestone todayāwe taught Carson how to mow the grass, and he did fantastic. He took it seriously, listened, and did a great job. Weāre hoping the idea that mowing means a little more allowance will keep him motivated. If money doesnāt motivate, Iām not sure what will. Haha.
I also made an important move for myself today and set up an appointment with another rheumatologist. My hands and shoulders have been hurting so much lately, and itās making everyday life difficult. Carrying boxes, cooking, even the simplest things feel harder than they should. At this point, I have to do something, and Iām hopeful this next step gets me closer to some answers.
And now⦠Florida. We need to talk. It has not been very sunshiney lately. Is that even a word? Sunshiney? It is now. Because the cloudy skies and chilly winds are not what I signed up for. I moved to the Sunshine State for warmth and sunshine, not gray skies and jackets. Come on, Floridaāstep it up.
Still, Iāll take a productive Monday as a win. One box at a time, one meal at a time, and one day closer to feeling settled.
Day 5ācheck!
