!MOM-ZOMBIE ALERT! + BIG NEWS!
Reporting live from the couch in Bardstown, still rocking yesterday’s travel outfit and a solid 24+ hours of sleep deprivation. Glamorous, I know.
We survived another road trip, y’all! Cue the dramatic fainting. And can we just give a round of applause to my husband who—drumroll, please—drove the first couple hours. I was shooketh…and ever so grateful. It was a real-life miracle that let me rest my achy, prednisone-pumped hands and feet. Because yes, they’re feeling better—but not “drive-through-the-night-like-a-trucker” better.
So, yours truly only had to take over for a casual 9½ hours of nighttime driving. No biggie. Just me, the moon, the occasional baby coyote in the median, and an endless 90s variety playlist.
But let me tell you—Kentucky showed OUT.
A few miles after we rolled into the state, I caught the most stunning sunrise. Like, the sky was out there doing a full-on watercolor performance just for me. Reds, purples, oranges—like the heavens decided to host a Bob Ross painting party. It gave me a much-needed jolt of joy right before the final stretch and reminded me why I love this little spot in the world so much. 10/10 would recommend driving into Kentucky in the early morning hours if you ever need to believe in beauty again.

We rolled into the driveway around 9:30 AM, and instead of collapsing into a nap like a reasonable human, I… jumped headfirst into website work. Because apparently, I’m trying to win some imaginary Boss Babe Hustle Award.
Exciting things are happening I’ve been working on my blog site like a caffeinated squirrel on a mission. There’s SO much coming—I can barely keep my own self calm about it.
Coming Soon: Simply Sina Store! Yes, it’s real. Yes, it’s fabulous. And yes, there’s a button on the homepage just waiting for your click. It’s currently empty except for some virtual cobwebs (don’t judge), but it’s going to be bursting with personalized goodies and handmade magic very soon.
Grand opening = discounts, fanfare, glitter cannons (okay, maybe just the discounts). Stay tuned!
ALSO—introducing Simply Seen, because why not start a photography company when you’re already juggling 37 other things? I’ve added a few galleries full of Florida fun photos, nothing “pro”. I’m still learning, but packages and pricing are on the way! So, if you want to get cute photos without spending a small fortune, I gotchu.
Basically, I’m about to be crazy busy, and since I don’t know a single soul in Florida (yet), I guess I’ve got zero distractions. Silver linings, right?
Wish me luck on all these wild new adventures. Some may crash and burn, others might fly—but I’ll be over here giving it 110% either way… preferably with coffee in one hand and a heat pack in the other.
