We’re home!

Well… we’ve been home since Monday—but don’t let that fool you into thinking I’ve been functional.

Because I have not.

Since I couldn’t take my methotrexate Sunday night (because apparently “don’t take it before driving all night” is a thing 🙄), I had to take it Monday night instead… which means the last few days have been me recovering like I went 12 rounds in a boxing match I did NOT sign up for.

It’s now Thursday, and I’m just starting to rejoin society.

Barely.

But let me tell you—Kentucky was worth every second of it.

We got to see all the kiddos, visit mamas, grandmas, cousins… just soaking up all that family time that somehow feels like both a blur and not long enough at the same time. And seeing our two granddaughters? Baby, that right there will fix your soul real quick.

Now…

Let’s address the elephant in the room.

My diet.

Or should I say… my former diet.

Because Kentucky said:
“Healthy who?”

Between road trip snacks, family meals, little treats, and all the “it’s vacation, it don’t count” moments… yeah… it counted. It counted A LOT. 😅

But here’s the reality check:

👉 We have a cruise in 11 DAYS.

ELEVEN.

Not 30. Not “next month.”
Eleven. Days.

So now I’m over here trying to pull myself together like:

  • Drink your water
  • Mind your portions
  • Step away from the snacks
  • Remember who you were before Kentucky 🤣

Because one thing about me—I might fall off track, but I’m not staying there.

Now let’s talk about the disrespect…

We leave sunny Florida, go to Kentucky, come back…
and Florida said:
“Let me match your mood.”

Clouds. Rain. Gloom.

Excuse me???

I need sunshine. I need motivation. I need a little vitamin D and a lot less “why do I feel like this” energy.

So right now, I’m:
✔ Recovering
✔ Refocusing
✔ Rehydrating
✔ Reclaiming my willpower
✔ Side-eyeing the calendar

Because that cruise is coming whether I’m ready or not 😅

Here’s to hoping the sun comes back out, my energy follows, and I can get it ALL the way together before it’s time to pack a suitcase again.

Because whew… life don’t slow down, it just gives you a snack break and keeps it moving.
