“She’s Florida-Bound, Bless Her Heart!”
Well hey y’all, look who finally crawled out from under her wax melts and scooter rides! That’s right—me. I know, I know… I totally flaked and ghosted y’all like a bad Tinder date, but hear me out! Life’s been lifing in the best way. I’ve been melting wax, snapping photos, riding bikes and scooters, and making memories with my boys during their four glorious days of freedom from school. If you saw me, you’d think I was training for the “Mom Olympics”—gold medal in multitasking, baby.
But hold onto your flip-flops, because tonight’s the night! Miss Harmony and her parental entourage are officially packing up the Bluegrass State and road-tripping their way down to our slice of sunshine here in Florida. That’s right—fourteen hours in a car with a toddler. Let’s all take a collective moment to send some prayers (and maybe some snacks) their way. Bless ‘em, truly. They’re about to experience every level of chaos known to mankind: “PeePAw? MeeMaw? Carson? Q?”, “I dropped my juice!”, and “Dead phone battery” level drama.
Meanwhile, I’ve gone full Martha Stewart mode—cleaning every corner, washing every towel, and fluffing pillows like we’re expecting the Queen herself. You’d think Harmony was coming with a white-glove inspection kit the way I’ve been bustling around here. The house smells like fresh laundry, lemon cleaner, and maybe a little hint of bourbon wax melt because I can’t not have something burning while I work. (Let’s be real, I have a candle addiction and I’m not seeking help.)
By the time they roll up tomorrow night, I’ll probably be on my second iced coffee and third nervous-cleaning spree, running around lighting candles like we’re setting a mood instead of just masking the smell of “boy house.” You know what I mean.
So stay tuned, y’all, because the Bonza house is about to turn into a reunion zone—equal parts chaos and cuddles. I’ll have the camera ready, and probably a few “Bless it & Buy it” melts burning for ambiance.
