Hey y’all!

Just wanted to pop in and see how everybody is doing this week!

We spent the weekend in Orlando and on Sunday we went to Gatorland, which by the way is one of the coolest places ever if you like animals and photography.

Now yes… there were plenty of gators (obviously)… and I did get some really great gator photos.

But the surprise favorites of the day?

THE BIRDS.

Macaws, parrots, ibis, flamingos… birds everywhere. And some of them looked like they were straight up posing for my camera like they were professional models.

At one point I realized something…

I think I might be obsessed with wildlife photography now.

There is just something about capturing animals in their little moments that makes my photographer heart so happy. It honestly felt like a dream walking around with my camera getting those shots.

I’ll share a few photos here, but if you want to see more you can check out my portfolio page where I posted more from the day.

Then today we had a proud parent moment.

Michael and I went to Quincy’s school for his Student of the Quarter ceremony, and he was also recognized as Student of the Month for January for his problem solving skills.

Let me tell you… that boy was smiling ear to ear.

And mom and dad were sitting there trying not to look like the overly emotional proud parents that we absolutely were.

So between wildlife photography adventures and proud parent moments… it’s been a pretty great week around here.

Hope y’all are having a great week too.

Happy Thursday!
