I Checked the Stats Twice… and Then Again

I know I already posted once today…but y’all… can we just take a second because WHAT IN THE SWEET TEA JUST HAPPENED?!

I had over 1,700 visitors on my site last week.
ONE. THOUSAND. SEVEN. HUNDRED.

I checked the numbers once.
Then I checked again.
Then I squinted at the screen like it owed me money.

And nope — it was real.

So first things first: THANK YOU. Thank you for clicking, reading, lurking, scrolling, and probably getting distracted halfway through a post like the rest of us do. 😂 Truly though, it means more to me than you know. This little corner of the internet is growing, and that blows my mind in the best way.

Now… let me ask y’all somethin’.

I would love to see some repeat visitors around here. You know, the “come on in, kick your shoes off, you already know where the snacks are” kind of folks. And I got to thinking — the easiest way to make that happen might be starting a mailing list with a newsletter.

BUT — before anybody clutches their pearls — hear me out.

I do not want to be annoying. I am not trying to blow up your inbox like a telemarketer at dinnertime. What I am thinking is this:

• You’d get a heads up when there’s a new post
• There’d be a direct link in your email (no hunting for my site like it’s a lost sock)
• Maybe a little behind-the-scenes, a laugh, a thought, or two
• Just enough Simply Sina to brighten your day without making you hit “unsubscribe” in a rage
