Welcome to the World, Miss LakeLynn Ann

Welp guys, the little turd did not wait.

Miss LakeLynn Ann was supposed to make her grand entrance on my birthday. She was going to be MeeMaw’s birthday present, wrapped in pink, squishy, newborn goodness, but her little self decided that yesterday was the day.

On November 20, 2025 at 1:41 pm, weighing 7 pounds 3 ounces and measuring 19 inches long, we officially welcomed our newest granddaughter into the world from 800 miles away.

And listen, I am all the things.
Happy. Excited. Over the moon.
And also so sad that we were not there to see her sweet little face in real time. Thankfully, when Carrley took Harmony to meet her baby sister for the first time, she FaceTimed me and I got pictures that way, but it is just not the same.

This is the only bad part about moving to Florida. The sunshine is great, the palm trees do not hurt, but missing these moments hits you right in the MeeMaw heart. Especially when it comes to the littles.

We will not meet her until she is about three weeks old, and that feels like forever. But even from a distance, she has already stolen every last one of us. I cannot wait to hold her, smell that newborn smell, and spoil her rotten the way a MeeMaw is required to.

Florida may have our mailing address, but Kentucky still has our roots, and days like this remind me that no matter where we are, family stays stitched into every part of life.

Welcome to the world, LakeLynn Ann.
MeeMaw loves you already, baby girl.
