Ho Ho Ho!! Holiday Kick-Off, Florida-Style

Ho Ho Ho!! We had ourselves a holiday-filled weekend, y’all! It all started Saturday down in Clearwater with a photoshoot featuring the big man himself — SANTA! (Or Michael, if you know you know).

It was such a blast watching kids of all ages light up when they saw Santa strolling down the street. And I mean all ages — the 30, 40, 50-somethings were grinning ear to ear too! Christmas magic hits different when you see grown adults waving like toddlers. We got some great shots, and Santas official advertising rep — aka Quincy — made a few TikToks and shared them on the spot. The mans got marketing skills!

That evening we headed over to The Shoppes at Wiregrass for the Symphony of Lights show. Picture giant Christmas trees synchronized to music, twinkling lights everywhere, and that first big spark of holiday spirit. It was pure joy — like the official starter pistol for Christmas season in Florida.

Sunday Shenanigans

Sunday was more low-key — well, sort of. Because guess what we did? Yep, we put up our Christmas tree! Dont judge me — I live in Florida now. If they can light up entire towns the first weekend of November, then I can sure as sugar light up my living room.

Theres just something about the glow of the tree, the smell of pine (real or not — no one needs to know), and Bing Crosby crooning in the background that makes everything right with the world.

Santa Bs Next Gig?

Back to our Santa B adventure — we took plenty of pictures because Im designing business cards for my dear friend Santa himself. Were hoping to book him for some local celebrations and Christmas photoshoots with the kiddos. Hes the real deal, yall — sparkly eyes, jolly laugh, the whole package.

So well see how that goes, but one things for sure: its officially the most wonderful time of the year. I love everything about Christmas — the lights, the laughter, the hot cocoa — just not the cold weather.

And speaking of cold — to the freezing temps that decided to follow me to Florida: You are not welcome here! Tomorrow morning its supposed to be in the 30s with even lower windchills. No maam. I moved to the Sunshine State for a reason!

Until next time,
Stay cozy, stay merry, and keep that Christmas magic glowing
