Happy Wednesday, y’all — We’re Halfway to Thanksgiving!
We are officially halfway through the week before Thanksgiving, and let me tell you… the countdown is on. The kiddos only have a couple more days of school, then they’re home all next week, and honestly? I don’t know what in the turkey-stuffin’ world we’re going to do with ourselves. Pray for me. Light a candle. Hide the Oreos. Whatever feels appropriate.
This morning I decided to treat myself for the first time in… well… I genuinely couldn’t tell you. Definitely before we moved here, so basically forever ago. I found a little salon online called Colorful Nails — right here in Wesley Chapel and only about ten minutes from the house — and booked myself an appointment like I was a woman who has her life together.

Elianny, the tech I got was the sweetest thing, and bless her, she did an amazing job. I tried gel-builder nails for the first time. Y’all… why did nobody tell me they were this cool?! I’m a chronic nail-biter (I know, I know — terrible habit), so of course I had to get tips. But instead of the complicated layers and powder I’m used to, they literally glue on the tips and then paint a thick, magic-goo gel on top. That’s it. Science is wild.
I’m hoping they hold up as well as my usual dip nails without popping off, cracking, or doing anything dramatic. Because if they break before my first Mrs. Claus gig of the season, I will absolutely cry in a very un-Claus-like fashion.

And speaking of Mrs. Claus — I ended up choosing a pearly white color. Something festive-ish, something soft and pretty, but not full-blown candy-cane Christmas just yet. We’re still technically in turkey territory, after all. But with our first official Santa gig coming up next week, we are getting everything together so we look the part. Santa B’s beard is fluffed, Elf Carson is ready, Elf Quincy has his cuteness locked and loaded, and Mrs. Sina Claus?
Well… she’s trying. One pearly gel-builder nail at a time.
Stay tuned — holiday chaos is incoming. 🎅✨
